Along with qualified and experienced instructors, our schools guarantee your children:
Attentive and personalized support for each type of course,
A monitored path toward progress and self-confidence,
Learning French in class and experiencing group dynamics
Based on an internationally recognized curriculum, the learning strategy in our general French courses is geared toward the acquisition of communication tools in French that can be directly applied to everyday life. All pertaining skills are thoroughly practiced in class, but our program's uniqueness lies in its special focus on listening comprehension and oral expression. Group dynamics are enhanced by the small size of our groups (5-12 students per class on average), the promotion of French as the only language of communication in class, and a selection of interactive activities and collaborative projects.
Flexible study options tailored to your schedule:
Regular: once a week (2 or 3 hours) over 10 to 18 weeks from September to June
Semi-intensive: four courses a week (8 hours) over 4 weeks in July and August
Being successful at French exams with our specialized courses
These courses will prepare your child for exams such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) or the DELF Junior. The courses provide in-depth reviews of the curriculum tested and offer key insights and advice to be successful at these exams.
Discovering French-speaking cultures in our cultural courses
We believe that the pleasure of learning French goes hand in hand with an awareness of the cultures and means of expression in which this language is used. Consult our course calendar to find out more about our cultural courses such as French & Drama, French & Art or French & Comic Books. Their “learn and play” approach makes them an ideal complement to a general course.
Private courses
Alliance Française de Toronto provides private courses on campus or at the location of your choice. These courses are closely tailored to your child’s specific needs.
Maintaining French skills during the holidays at our immersion camps
Our March Break camps and our Summer camps are the ideal way of immersing your child in the language and improving his/her abilities in conversational French through a variety of fun and dynamic activities.
