BÉBÉ ALLIANCE (age: 8 months - 2 years)

Children, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, are exposed to the French language through songs, rhymes, stories, "touch-and-tell", finger games and rocking. This fun, sensory, and participatory approach is also designed to foster bonding between child and adult.

This program is a community-based service where families sharing similar interests or from the same neighbourhood can meet and form friendships. For parents who are interested in learning French, the program also offers an opportunity for both parent and child to discover the language together.

Activities are accompanied by rhythm and movement and provide a delightful repertoire that families will be able to enjoy at home together. Themes such as the body, family and nature are introduced in a fun and positive environment.

See the current schedule for Bébé Alliance, or contact us for more information.

Please note: In the Bébé Alliance program a parent or caregiver is required to participate with the child/children and is encouraged to share in her/their enjoyment and experience.

PRESCHOOLERS (age: 3-4 years)

An introduction to the language while discovering social life in a group of peers, this course encourages toddlers to develop language awareness. They will learn to associate French words to everyday objects or situations.

See the current schedule for Preschoolers, or contact us for more information.

Please note: Children develop independence through free play and structured instructor-led activities. Programs are aimed at helping children in their transition into kindergarten or later classes at the Alliance Française de Toronto. Parents or caregivers DO NOT ATTEND these classes. Some children do not adjust immediately and may need longer time to become accustomed to the new environment; the teacher will look at that aspect.
