To celebrate the 41st edition of the World Music Day, Alliance Française Toronto invites singer and songwriter, Akeem Oh!
Akeem Oh (Ouellet) is an American-Canadian singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Ottawa, Ontario. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, adopted by a Canadian family and raised in Mattawa (a small town in Northern Ontario). Initially contributing to the growing French Canadian music scene, he won the APCM prize at the Ontario Pop Music Showcase (now rebranded as Rond Point). He was also a finalist on the hit musical TV Show JAM on TFO in 2012. His latest single, School Girl, has been described by many as a nostalgic and uplifting Indie-Pop Folk epic that draws inspiration from artists such as Paul McCartney, Beck, and Iron & Wine.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Wheelchair Access
A number of seats have been specifically set aside for people in wheelchairs or for those with disabilities. They are available upon request. Please inform the Alliance Française team upon arriving to the event. Washrooms are accessible.
