Escape is shot in a house for women victims of domestic violence. It is a film that bears witness to the courage of women who, for the most part, speak openly. It is a chronicle with its ups and downs, its dramatic and happy moments, and at the centre with the residents and workers. Escape’s action takes place over three months and reveals the immense wounds of abused women and the great generosity of those who try to repair them.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
