Event Description

Hadrien Volle, Doctor of Art History and cultural journalist at Radio-Canada Toronto

The Princess of Wales Theatre, the Berkeley Street Theatre or the Four Seasons of Performing Arts... These are all places that testify to the vitality of the performing arts in Toronto today, but what about the city’s history? How did certain performance venues contribute to the birth of entire neighbourhoods, and what were the consequences when others disappeared?

This lecture will provide an overview of the issue and an overview of the city’s stages.
