Cycling with Molière, 2013

Director: Philippe Le Guay

Dramatic comedy

Length: 1h45 mins

At the peak of his acting career, Serge Tanneur has left the world of show business once and for all. Full of anger, full of weariness. The exhaustion of a profession where everyone betrays everyone else. From now on, he lives as a hermit in a dilapidated house on the île de Ré... Three years later, Gauthier Valence, a popular television actor, arrives on the island. He comes to find Serge and asks him to play “Le Misanthrope” by Molière. Serge refuses outright and confirms that he will never go back on stage. However, something in him just wants to give in.
