By and with Djely Tapa.
Originally from Western Mali, Djely Tapa is a singer-songwriter with a powerful, crystalline voice, and an heir to the rich tradition of the griots. With this new concert, she remains true to her musical universe at the crossroads of Malian and Western cultures.
Before the concert
- We recommend purchasing your ticket online. Tickets will also be available at the door, subject to availability.
- Doors open 20 minutes before the show.
- For everyone’s comfort, doors will close 10 minutes after the show begins.
- Please note: food and beverages are not allowed inside the theatre.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Wheelchair Access
A number of seats have been specifically set aside for people in wheelchairs or for those with disabilities. They are available upon request. Please inform the Alliance Française team upon arriving to the event. Washrooms are accessible.
