Yann Savel: classical guitar - vocals- texts and compositions, Nathalie Carudel: vocals- theremin - electronic instruments, Simon Nwambeben: vocals- percussions, Cissokho: Kora
Musical dialogue between French songs and traditional African music
Between personal repertoire and new creations, Yann Savel is responsible for all the French songs and the musical production of this new project. Simon Nwambeben, on vocals and African percussion, will give his counterpart in the Bafia language, the traditional dialect of the Bontous of Cameroon.
Acoustic and electronic music will meet like a link between times and cultures. This dialogue will be enriched by the colourful voice of Nathalie Carudel and the musicality and virtuosity of Cissokho on the kora, the emblematic instru- ment of West Africa.
A mixture of strings, texts, languages, styles, instrumental timbres, music sometimes written, sometimes improvised, for a harmonious and unusual musical marriage.
Nyna Valès will be touring the Alliance Française network in Canada (Halifax, Moncton, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver).

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
