Fatah, a small Algerian farmer, only cares about his cow Jacqueline, whom he dreams of taking to Paris to the Agriculture Fair. When he receives the prized invitation in front of his entire village, Fatah, who has never left the countryside, takes a boat to Marseille to cross all of France on foot, in the direction of Porte de Versailles. The opportunity for Fatah and Jacqueline to go from encounters to surprises and to live a human adventure made of great moments of shared support and laughter. An unexpected and tender journey in the France of today.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre

Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.

Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check

Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

A number of seats have been specifically set aside for people in wheelchairs or for those with disabilities. They are available upon request. Please inform the Alliance Française team upon arriving to the event. Washrooms are accessible.
