When soldiers descend on their village in the dead of night, Kyona and Adriel's world is shattered in an instant. Torn from their parents in the chaos of flight, the two siblings find themselves alone onto the long, perilous roads of exile, crossing a continent that fears and hunts those like them. Surviving on courage, instinct, and the fierce bond between them, Kyona and Adriel move from childhood into adolescence as they search for safety, and for the family they lost.
Rooted in Florence Miailhe's own family's history of displacement, The Crossing is the first feature film made by painting oil directly on glass, creating images that shimmer like living memory.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
