On Christmas Eve, in a grey suburb, Abdou, a dreamy young pizza delivery boy, crosses paths with Marcel, the real Santa Claus. The old man, exhausted and ready to retire, has just had a scooter accident that threatens to derail his entire round. Abdou sets off an unlikely chain of solidarity to save Christmas, with music and song.
Adapted from a musical tale by singer-songwriter Merlot, the film offers a refreshingly grounded world, far from the usual postcard-perfect Christmas imagery. It’s an urban, offbeat, and tender holiday story, featuring the voice of well-known French actor Reda Kateb.
The screening includes a 9-minute short, Une Histoire d'Histoires d'Histoires d'Histoires d'Histoires de Noël (A Story of Stories of Stories of Stories of Stories of Christmas), directed by Tom Chertier.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.
