Toni was twenty when a televised singing contest turned her into a national star overnight. Twenty years and five children later, the spotlight is a distant memory. By day she's raising five kids alone; by night she sings in bars to pay the bills. But at 43, with a houseful of skeptical teenagers and a life built entirely around them, she clumsily begins to imagine a future of her own. A tender, funny, and quietly feminist portrait of a woman daring to start over.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
