After mornings dedicated to French language learning, campers will discover the universe of comics in French and will work on their own story.
No particular skill for drawing is needed! In fact, the workshop will begin with an introduction to the specific comics lexical field, and to the cultural background of francophone comic through the presentation of a varied range of examples.
Campers will then be able to work on the different steps of the construction of a narrative line for the comic strip (how to invent a character, how to cut the story in narratives sequences, how to write the dialogues, which format to choose, etc.).
Our program is specifically designed to help developing life skills such as confidence, imagination, concentration, and writing abilities all while practising French.
Campers will work on their own storyboard as their final project.
- Cultural knowledge: An amazing insight into francophone comics (discovery of authors and books); - Engagement in Narrative Strategies (solving logical narrative problems); - Storytelling and Construction of a coherent narration (Creating a consistent scheme with a beginning, a development and an ending); - Synthetic Abilities (learning of the proper comic strip language); - Written Interaction (construction of dialogues, discerning level of languages and adjustment to situations).
