Whether in biology, medicine, astronomy or geosciences, many imaging techniques are used to reveal and study the invisible. Taken during laboratory research or during outdoor observations and experiments, these images reveal the beauty of nature in all of its forms. This exhibition presents some of the finalist images from the contest Science Exposed/ La preuve par l'image, presented by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Acfas.

In the context of an ecological and health emergency that has reaffirmed the importance of science in our daily lives, this project aims to highlight the work of researchers and scientists working in Canada, which remains mainly unknown by the general public. Stem cells, bacteria, microorganisms, bioinformatic models or cosmic observations, come and lose yourself in the immensity of the scientific universe!

About Science Exposed

Science Exposed is a contest organized by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and devoted exclusively to images of scientific research, in all fields of study. In 2016, NSERC was proud to collaborate with Acfas and open La preuve par l'image to candidates all across Canada. Acfas is responsible for the Francophone segment of the contest, La preuve par l'image, and NSERC is responsible for the Anglophone segment, Science Exposed.
