Theme: LCBO's good wines under $20
Born in a wine-making family,Manon Maerten decided to study International Trade of Wine for 5 years and graduated from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3. She uses her free time to share her passion for wine and will present our next Wine tasting :
"Canada is renowned for opening his doors to the entire world, it is a host country with a true cultural wealth. However Canada, and Ontario especially, puts real barriers (and taxes!) on lots of products that we enjoy so much, such as wine. That is why we will find European, South American or other wines far more expensive here than in their original countries. And now we will say that a good-$18 wine is "not expensive". To be honest, lots of wines in this range in LCBO are just good.....for the sink !
Then, in the tastings that I am organizing, people often ask me "Do you have any recommendation for good wines under $15 or $20 ?
During this tasting at the Alliance française, I will present 4 wines under $20 (even $15 !) which need to be discovered and may reach your table and make your guests say "And only for $16.95 ? Ooooh"
These are the 4 wines you are going to taste :
Cremant de Bourgogne Bailly Lapierre
Vouvray Trésors de Loire
Cathedral Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon
