Coat check

A Coat Check space, located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre, is available at no charge for every event. Alliance française is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Wheelchair access

A number of seats have been specifically set aside for people in wheelchairs or with disabilities and are available upon request. Please inform the ticket seller of your needs when you purchase tickets. Washrooms are accessible.

Hearing devices

We provide an RF wireless assistive listening system for use by the hearing-impaired. The assistive listening system (ALS) shall be capable of broadcasting on up to 57 different wide band channels and be frequency agile. The receivers will incorporate a stereo headset jack that allows the user to plug in either a mono or stereo headset and listen to audio normally. Free of charge. Patrons are required to leave a piece of identification.

At the doors

Spadina Theatre, 24 spadina road entrance on Lowther Avenue

Hours: 45mn before the show in the lobby aera. Doors open 30mn prior any event.

Pay What You Can events

No registration. Access to the show on a first come first serve basis and donate what you want at the doors.

Public Transportation


Take the subway or the street car 501 to the Spadina Station. Walk north on Spadina Road up to the next intersection with Lowther Avenue. Alliance française will be just on the west side of the street.


By car: Alliance francaise is one block north of Bloor street West, on Spadina Road.

There are several public parking lots close by, including:
Green P Parking, Carpark 231, at 19 Spadina Road and on-street parking all around.
