The film draws heavily on Inuit culture and tradition. Set in northern Canada in 1910- the story of three young Inuit who set out for the legendary land of Sarila searching for food for their clan.

Our cultural department offers various workshops and activities that inspire learning in students.
Trough our workshops, activities and special exhibitions, our programs encourage students to practice and improve their skills in French as a second language.

Primary – secondary schools of GTA
Group size: 20 to 50 children.
Depending on its size, the group can be split into 2 sub-groups for workshops #1 & #2.
Workshop #1. Exploring the Gallery Pierre Leon
Our exhibitions hide some unexplained mysteries or are inspiring for quizzes.
Young visitors are invited to disclose them in a ludic way.
A meeting with the artist can also be arranged, when he/she is a Toronto resident.
Duration: 20 min.
Workshop # 2. Discovery of the French Bookstore
At La Mosaique bookstore, a book is not only a book. They are opportunities to visit magic worlds, and have adventures with exciting heroes. Through storytelling, young readers will be invited to discover new books.

Workshop #3 French cinema
Our campus is host to the official movie theater for ONF, and our extensive film catalogue offers a wide selection of French movies for young audiences. Each screening is introduced by a member of the cultural dept.
Duration: 30 min – 120 min.
Chantal Vechambre, one the most famous French chefs in Toronto, invites our visitors to taste her delicious crêpes and madeleine cakes.
2 crêpes + 2 madeleines for $5/child.
(Pour 50 enfants au minimum)

Galerie Pierre Leon can accommodate up to 50 children for a lunch (no table or chair). When weather permits, lunch can be enjoyed in Jean Sibelius Park (located 550 m. from the campus).
Children are invited to bring some pocket money for shopping at the bookstore.
