Joanne Belluco holds a Master’s Degree in Art History specialized in cinema and audiovisual studies at the University of Paris VIII. She founded in 1996 the Non-profit group, 109, sponsored by Roman Polanski, dedicated to promoting young French and international filmmakers. In 2001, she joined StudioCanal International Sales where she collaborated on films as The Pianist by Roman Polanski, Mulholland Drive by David Lynch, Intimacy by Patrice Chéreau,Life Is a Miracle by Emir Kusturica or Vera Drake by Mike Leigh. In 2006, after studying executive producing for the cinema, she foundedeXistenceFilms, a cinema development and audiovisual production company. She lived in Toronto in 2006 for about two years to become more knowledgeable with the Canadian film market and to work on the development of her film documentary, TORONTO BY ITS INSIDERS. In 2009, she produced and directed INTRODUCING CHLOE a Behind the Scenes documentary for Atom Egoyan film’s CHLOE starring Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson. In 2011, she directed her second feature documentary THE TERROR GROUP, a film documentary about the “New Wave” of filmmakers making horror films in Spain, Premiere at the prestigious Stiges International Fantasy Film Festival of Catalonia. She is back in Toronto since June 2014 and works as Producer/ Director at TFO

Bayona, Nacho Cerdà, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Guillem Morales have in common? An analysis of fantasy and horror cinema in Spain, with the participation of its most prestigious representatives.
