Masterclass theatre workshops with Mathieu Mével

15-17 y.o.

Through theatre practice, improve your speaking skills in French, play texts among French literature masterpieces.


Group size: 10 max.


Theatre 15-17 y.o.

Program for each workshop:

  • theatre technique: learn how to use your breath, your pronunciation, diction, exposure, rhythm, emotion and practice all of them in teamwork.
  • learn by heart a monologue from classic or contemporary literature (1 min.) and improve your eloquence.

Musset, Pommerat, Molière, Mouwad, Feydeau, Williams, Tchekhov, Shakespeare.

Open to francophone and French learner (intermediate or advanced level)

Your host: Matthieu Mével

Matthieu is a writer and stage director. Since 1998, he has been working with many theatres in France, Canada, Italy, Germany and Mexico. He has published several books including "L'acteur singulier (notes about the art of acting) and, recently, the novel "Un vagabond dans la langue".
Matthieu Mével is a guest artist of Alliance Française for the Summer. He will also give a course to adults about learning French with theatre technique.
