S.T.E.A.M

EXPLORUM welcomes our campers this summer with workshops inspired by the S.T.E.A.M. method (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education), all while having fun in French! 

Our young scientists will learn the principles of chemistry, biology, and physics in these workshops full of experiments and challenges. With some creativity, basic equipment, and team spirit, they will design and conduct their own scientific experiments.

Coding


This workshop is an introduction to coding using programming fundamentals. The sessions are taught in person by a French-speaking instructor. 

The campers will create interactive games by using the programming language, Scratch: an intuitive solution based on coding blocks and developed by the researchers at the MIT. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop.

Technology required: 

A computer with speakers and audio

Internet browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari)

A headset is also recommended

Musical

Our campers are invited on stage to prepare and perform a show!.

They’ll learn songs and simple choreographies, make improvisations, give each other feedback, and collaboratively write the show. This journey of self-discovery includes production and the freedom to choose their role: announcer, stage director, dancer, actor, singer, set designer, choreographer, the list goes on.

Your host: Ekin Agency Arts Ekin Agency Arts brings together a collective of artists in the performing arts (theatre, dance, literary writing, music, storytelling, etc.)

Ekin uses the arts to share the different cultures of the world (Canadian, Asian, African, European, Maghrebian, and some First Nations).
