Open House 2018 1140x188 01

Open House at Alliance Francaise: meet the community, become a member of it, celebrate the new school year!

On September 5 and September 7, all GTA campuses greet students and help them to prepare the new school year. This is the perfect time to tour the classrooms, visit the campus with friends, meet the teachers, ask questions about the pedagogy, discover all new opportunities to live French in Toronto and have a free assessment.

Take advantage of your visit to register, get your manuals and avoid the waiting lines on the first day of school (September, 18 for kids and week of September 14 for adults).

A buffet welcomes the visitors.

Bring a friend who registers on the day of the open house and you will both receive a 20% discount on your membership. (Membership subscription must be done on the day of the open house)

THE CAMPUS

40 teachers run courses, workshops, master classes, private lessons.

Toronto

When you come here for the first time, you will encounter adults and children of all ages and backgrounds, from babies with their mothers, to corporate executives, to dynamic retirees. The Spadina campus is an intergenerational place.

You can also visit an exhibition for a francophone artist or join the theatre audience for a concert. The Spadina campus is a cultural place.

Finally, as you walk along the corridors, you will see some of the 40 teachers who run courses, conversation workshops, master classes, private lessons or who correct the papers of candidates for an international French diploma. The Spadina campus is a place for teaching and transmitting an international language, French. Spadina campus is not a campus. It’ s much more than that: it is also your home.

North York
THE CAMPUS

Located within walking distance of the Yonge-Sheppard subway station, the North York campus enjoys an exceptional location in a residential area with many green spaces.

The richness of the various communities from which our students come makes our campus the most multicultural of the GTA campuses. Whatever their culture, our young learners all share the ambition to succeed and enrich their knowledge in French. When you come to visit us, you may be welcomed by the music of a child playing piano, or see another one reading (in French) in our library.

Some days, silence is required: our campus is the official centre for passing the French exam for Canadian citizenship (TEF) or the international diploma of French as a Second Language (DELF, DALF).

You will always be welcome to celebrate the Christian, Iranian, Orthodox or Chinese New Years with us and our students.

Mississauga
LE CAMPUS

In a friendly atmosphere, the Mississauga campus offers a wide range of French as second language courses for a variety of audiences: children and teens, students, adults, as well as businesses and public servants come to our campus to expand their understanding in French.

We attach particular importance to culture and leisure activities to promote the Francophonie: a francophone library, games evenings, artistic discovery workshops, day camps (March Break and Summer) and a free Ciné Club are all opportunities for our members to experience French immersion!

Our campus is also a centre for international French as a second language diploma certification (DELF and DALF). More than a place of study, we want our campus to also be a place to live...in French!

Oakville
The Campus

Being in the west end of the GTA on a prime geographic location, we are able to respond to different kinds of French training requests: group courses for kids, teens and adults, private courses, corporate courses based on the learners’ needs and availabilities and preparation courses for government tests, available all year long.

Thanks to our smaller size and to our dedicated teachers and admin staff we can ensure the quality of teaching. It allows us to have very good interactions with students and to follow up on the progress of each individual. We take pride in having very qualified teachers and using modern technology in offering French as a second language for leisure, academic advancement, career development and future job opportunities.

THE CAMPUS

The Markham Campus offers a wide choice of French courses to students at all levels who share one ambition: to enhance their understanding of the French language.

Our International Baccalaureate preparation courses welcome seventh-grade students who want to attend schools offering an IB program. We continue to assist them in their schooling until the twelfth grade.

Our team of teachers specialized in Immersion Française offer courses to students with the ambition of bilingualism and from schools offering an immersion program.

We also prepare students for international diplomas from DELF, DALF or TEF, the language test for future Canadian citizens.
