      About Jim Doak

Jim Doak served as the President of Alliance Française Toronto from 2007 to 2010. A remarkable individual and passionate Francophile, he dedicated many years to promoting the French language and education in Canada. Tragically, Jim passed away suddenly in 2015 at the age of 59. A steadfast supporter of Alliance Française Toronto, Jim spearheaded several major fundraising initiatives and projects during his tenure as President of the Board. These included the establishment of an AFT campus in Markham and the construction of a theatre at the main campus at 24 Spadina Road. By naming the new campus in North York in his honor, Alliance Française Toronto proudly pays tribute to one of its most dedicated supporters and benefactors.
