Electric, introspective, uncompromising jazz. Benjamin Deschamps and his band take the stage to present their fourth album, Augmented Reality, winner of the 2023 Opus Award for Jazz Album of the Year. It's a bold, original work that's already won acclaim across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
A Montreal-based saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, composer, and arranger, Benjamin Deschamps won the top prize at the Festi Jazz de Rimouski in 2013, was named Radio-Canada's Jazz Discovery of the Year in 2017-18, and took home the TD Grand Prize at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2019.

Before the show
- The welcome reception will take place in the galleries before the theatre opens, and is reserved for RSVP guests only.
- We recommend booking your seats online in advance. Concert tickets will also be available at the door, subject to availability.
- Theatre doors open 30 minutes before the show and close 10 minutes after it begins.
- Please note: food and beverages are not allowed inside the theatre.

Venue Information - Spadina Theatre
Created by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the Alliance Française Toronto theatre opened in the spring of 2014. Since then, more than 200 artists and events have been held there all year long, within a warm and intimate atmosphere. This 147-seat auditorium invites you to join us for musical performances of all genres, as well as film screenings, lectures, and stage plays.
Entrance to the theatre is on Lowther Avenue. The doors open 20 minutes prior to the beginning of each event.

Coat Check
Coat check is located in the basement of the Spadina Theatre and is available at no charge for every event. Alliance Française is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Wheelchair Access
A number of seats have been specifically set aside for people in wheelchairs or for those with disabilities. They are available upon request. Please inform the Alliance Française team upon arriving to the event. Washrooms are accessible.
